Hi, I’m Amy!
My story is anything but simple, but every part of it has led me here.
I earned my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Maryville University and spent over 12 years practicing in a variety of pediatric and adult clinical settings. Along the way, I began facing my own health challenges and experienced firsthand what it’s like to struggle with illness and feel stuck in symptom-based care.
In 2019, I began my healing journey with functional medicine, and that experience completely shifted how I understood health and healing. It gave me a new perspective — not only as a practitioner, but also as a patient.
That journey led me to pursue certification in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® and continue my education through advanced trainings so I could offer truly integrative care-as I have always been passionate about preventative health. I’ve also walked this path as a mother of a patient, which has given me deeper insight into what families go through when they’re searching for answers.
Outside of my work, I’m a mom of two boys, a dog lover, and someone who genuinely enjoys all things fitness and wellness — while still appreciating a good arts and crafts day with my kids. I believe in balance, real life, and building sustainable habits that actually work for families.
Today, I bring together my background in occupational therapy and functional health & nutrition to support women and children in a way that looks at the whole person, deeply & meaningfully, to create real change.
The Wise Living Approach
Wise Living Health & Wellness was created from both professional experience and personal journey.
Through my own healing and the health journeys of my family and friends, I’ve learned the importance of keeping an open mind, continuing to learn, exploring the evidence, and never giving up on the pursuit of better health and quality of life.
I am deeply passionate about making sure people feel heard and understood with any health concern-especially as new parents navigate so many new changes. My goal is to educate and empower families with the right tools and strategies so they can transform their health and truly thrive.
I believe real healing happens when we look at:
The whole body
The nervous system
The gut-brain connection
Lifestyle and environment
Daily function and real-life support
This is the foundation of the integrative care model at Wise Living.
